Efektifitas pendidikan kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan dan motivasi ibu hamil trimester III tentang pemberian ASI eksklusif

Abstract

Background: The exclusive breast feeding is less than optimal caused the babies suffer from malnutrition and poor nutrition. The research aimed at determining the effect of health education toward knowledge and motivation about exclusive breast feeding. 


Method: This is a quantitative research, it was conducted at the public health center Olak Kemang Jambi city on July 2017. Research design use pre experiment with One Group pre and posttest by using Purposive Sampling technique, with the number 20 respondents. Data collection instrument was taken through questionnaires, and was analyzed as univariate and bivariate by using T-test dependent.


Result: The findings indicated that among 20 respondents, there was significant effect between health education about breast feeding toward knowledge of third semester pregnant woman at the public health center Olak Kemang Jambi city 2017 with p-value=0.000<0.05 and there is the significant effect between health education about breast feeding toward motivation of third trimester pregnant woman at the public health center Olak Kemang Jambi city year 2017 with p-value 0.000<0.05.  


Conclusion: Provision of health education about exclusive breast feeding to third trimester pregnant woman needs to be conducted continuously in the class of pregnant women and when pregnant women to visit antenatal care Through information media such as leaflets and posters at the public health center, because health education influence to knowledge and motivation pregnant women.
